How to intercept brower print request and send a PDF file instead?

On my personal website, when the visitor tries to print the page, I'd like to intercept it and send a PDF instead.

I know I can use the media print css, but I already have the PDF file and change the current site design to fit with the PDF seems to be a lot of work.
